Can the weather be any wackier than it has been the past few weeks?!?!? I am so ready for spring, other than the fact that would mean that the heat of summer is right around the corner. The boys were back at school today and was it ever time!!! Tracey was off from work today, as he is working on Saturday. He stayed home and worked on some stuff for the house and then got things ready for supper.
An update on the house situation. Since we went to the bank in January some things have changed in the mortgage industry and we are trying to iron out our wrinkles. While our credit has improved by quite a bit in order to qualify for an FHA loan one must be able to put down at least 3 1/2 % and show enough liquid assets for not only closing costs but also 2 months worth of mortgage payments, which inour case for this house is about 10,000 for this house. While those may sound like little things we were not counting on the required reserve of 2 months payments and so we are having to do some extensive number crunching in order to cover ALL of the neccesary expenses. At last check there are no other interested parties looking at the house at this time so we are trying to get everything straightened out and in order before that situation changes.
Kendal has baseball practice tonight at 6:00 and they are having it at the fields. I am in hopes that it doesn't start to rain until after he gets home. In the past week he has developed a nasty cough, which doesn't seem to be going away. I got him some heavy duty cough medicine but it really isn't helping him much. He has a track meet on Friday and that is it for the week. I am in hopes that if he takes it easy this weekend that will help.
Tracey and Alex started a new hobby, Geocaching. For those of you who aren't familiar with it here is a short rundown. Using GPS coordinates a person places a token of some type and then registers it on the Geocaching web site for others to find. They found their first item last week and then found 3 others on the way to Mullen for Easter. Tracey picked up Alex after school today and they were trying to find a few more today; Tracey figured since we weren't having supper til late with Kendal having practice he and Alex should do something productive!!
Well I had better also find something productive to do while I am home by myself in a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. I hope that everyone had a nice weekend and were able to enjoy the beautiful weather today, if even only for a few minutes!!
