Boy oh Boy

So while most of the world was sleeping in for the weekend the Colson family was rising as usual for a busy work filled weekend. We spent the weekend in Gering helping Nannie and Bill re-shingle their house. Actually, I spent the weekend enjoying my roll of aunt, playing with & spoiling Merrick. I also took Rayce to his soccer game Saturday morning. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate for the task at hand and only 1/2 the roof was done when we came home last night. That meant Kendal got to come with us today and help with the other 1/2 of the roof.
Some of the fun highlights of the weekend revolved around the fact that today was Rayce's 9th birthday. Yesterday mom made frosting for the birthday cake and when she was done Merrick & Dad licked the beaters. By the time the beaters were clean, Merrick was far from clean and his face resembled a jack-o-lantern.
